We recruit resident medical officers (RMOs) and registrars to West Moreton as part of the Queensland Health RMO and registrar recruitment campaign.
Our positions are for 12 months. Some roles are specialised to one clinical area, others will include rotations through our health service.
Most of our roles are full time. In some clinical areas this will also include:
- weekend and night shifts
- on call and remote call shifts
- overtime when needed.

Selection for streamed SHO positions is merit based and includes an interview.
Senior House Officer (SHO) and Junior House Officer (JHO) – rotational
SHOs and JHOs have 5 rotations per year, which may include:

- general medicine
- geriatric medicine
- general surgery
- infectious diseases
- intensive care
- internal relieving

Who can apply
You can apply if you’re a medical practitioner and:
- you've completed your medical qualifications
- you're registered or able to register with the Medical Board of Australia
- you can meet Queensland Health's pre-employment checks.
If you're an overseas applicant, you'll also need:
- an Australian Medical Council MCQ or Australian Medical Council Certificate
- visa documentation and Department of Home Affairs VEVO entitlements check.
